ABOUT FACULTY OF ARCHITECTURE AND EKISTICS

Faculty of Architecture and Ekistics has been proposed to be set up at UMK by Senate on the 2nd of April 2014 and to the Board of Director on the 30th of June, 2014. It has been approved by Ministry of Education starting the 1st of June 2016 and officially operated in UMK on the 1st of August 2016.

The establishment of this faculty is in line with the National Innovation Strategy under the title of World Class Innovation Nation (item 15), which outlines the culture within the context of the architecture, the creative industry.

There are three (3) undergraduate programmes that have been offered in FAE are as follows:

1. Bachelor of Science in Architecture with Honours (starting 2016/2017)
2. Bachelor of Interior Architecture with Honours (starting 2016/2017)
3. Bachelor of Landscape Architecture with Honours (starting 2017/2018)

Postgraduate programmes that have been offered at FAE are as follows:

1. Master of Arts (Architectural History and Theory)
2. Doctor of Philosophy (Architectural History and Theory)
